Two Kurdish MPs from Turkey’s pro-Kurdish “Peoples’ Democratic Party” (HDP) have become ministers for the first time in the country’s history, reported Ensonhaber website of Turkey.

HDP MPs Müslüm Doğan and Ali Haydar Konca have been appointed Minister of Development and Minister of European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator, respectively, in the interim parliamentary election government formed by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.

The two Kurdish ministers announced that they are declining from the use of red governmental license plates, expensive service vehicles, and bodyguards that are assigned to ministers in Turkey.

They also stated that their sole wish is that the war ends in the country.
