On August 20, Russian President’s spouse Svetlana Medvedeva and Armenia’s first lady Rita Sargsyan visited the National Gallery and the History Museum of Armenia.
Svetlana Medvedeva familiarized herself with the works of famous Russian painter of the Armenian origin Ivan Aivazovsky and paintings of renowned Armenian painters Vardges Surenyants, Gevorg Bashinjaghyan and Panos Terlemezyan.
Russia’s first lady also attended an exhibition at the History Museum. Svetlana Medvedeva was shown the 5500-old shoe discovered in one of the caves in the Vayots Dzor province of Armenia in 2008.
