Yevnige Aposhian Salibian, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide, passed away in U.S. on Sunday at the age of 101, Asbarez reported.
Salibian became an outspoken advocate for truth and justice on the Armenian Genocide.
In 2014, Salibian was honored by the University of Southern California’s Shoah Foundation, during the organization’s 20th anniversary gala, where Steven Spielberg and others honored the survivor.
During the gala, she took a photo with Kim Kardashian that was published by the media all over the globe.
“Honored to be at the USC SHOAH Foundation event to support Armenian genocide testimonies. I’m sitting next to the most inspiring 100 year old Armenian genocide survivor,” Kim wrote on Instagram.
