STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), Bako Sahakyan, on Tuesday issued a message of condolence in connection with the passing of Colonel General Gurgen Dalibaltayan.

“I have learned with deep sorrow about the death of prominent military figure and statesman, Gurgen Dalibaltayan.

“Gurgen Dalibaltayan has had a substantial contribution in the formation and strengthening of the Armenian army, carving his name in the modern history of the Armenian people.

“On behalf of the people, authorities of Artsakh and myself in person, I express my sincere sympathies and condolences to the family of Gurgen Dalibaltayan, his relatives and friends. I wish them all courage and tenacity in this hour of great sorrow,” runs the letter by the NKR President.
