Moscow is expecting progress in the normalization of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov said at the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku. The meeting was held as part of the Russian minister’s working visit.
“I appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss the bilateral relations, situation in the region and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This is the topic which we are trying to resolve under the supervision of you, Presidents of Armenia and Russia, as well as the [OSCE] Minsk Group Co-Chairs. I hope the progress will be achieved,” Lavrov said, RG reports.
