The wake of Diaspora Armenian businessman, public activist, and benefactor Vahakn Hovnanian will be held Thursday at 5pm at the Surb Hovhannes (St. John) Church in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

The Hovnanian International company has informed the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

But the location for the late philanthropist’s interment is yet unknown.Vahakn Hovnanian passed away Monday in Yerevan.

Hovnanian was born on February 16, 1932 in Iraq.

His charitable projects have targeted the preservation and development of Armenian culture as well as tourism development in Armenia.

Vahakn Hovnanian was also member of the America-Israel Friendship Council.
