YEREVAN. – Armenian Defense Ministry is not be surprised by the presence of the Turkish weapons in Azerbaijan, deputy chief of the Armenian Armed Forces Movses Hakobyan told reporters.

According to Hakobyan, he first encountered the presence of Turkish weapons in Azerbaijani army back in April 1994.

“Turkey has never denied that will provide assistance to Azerbaijan. The use of Turkish weapons is not surprising. The enemy always uses it. We are aware of it. We also know what is imported from where,” he emphasized.

Asked about the supply of Russian offensive weapons to Azerbaijan, Movses Hakobyan noted that the position of the Armenian Defense Ministry had been announced, and nothing has changed. However, he noted that Azerbaijan has not used the weapons purchased from Russia during the recent years.
