Solemn events on occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day were held on September 21 in Ukraine’s Poltava city.

The holiday, organized by Poltava’s regional “Urartu” Armenian community, was visited by representatives of local authorities, regional communities and artists.  

As part of the event, Poltava sportsmen, who have achieved success at international and pan-Ukrainean levels, were awarded with certificates of honor, Analitikaua reports.

The singer Anush Harutyunyan, Kharkiv’s Armenian dance ensemble “Ani” and Poltava ensemble “Urartu” performed for the guests.

Besides, an exhibition titled “We are your children, Armenia!” opened in Zaporozhye on September 21 as part of the events dedicated to Armenia’s Independence Day. Holiday concert organized in cooperation with Zaporozhye’s regional community of Armenian Culture will take place.
