YEREVAN. - Newly appeared Armenian political activist and leader of the Intra-National Liberation Movement Vahan Martirosyan has been put on the international wanted list, Armenian police press-service reports.  

On September 17, the Azerbaijani media reported that Vahan Martirosyan is in Baku with his family. Martirosyan’s escape was preceded by an odd story, in which Martirosyan accused Armenian ruling party MP Mher Sedrakyan of beating him and his wife on the evening of August 15.

On the heels of Martirosyan’s appearing in Baku, it turned out that he was under investigation - in the status of a defendant – in a case involving theft of a large amount of money. Moreover, he has been put on the wanted list since September 9.  

No definite answer was given to the journalists’ attempts to ascertain from Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) director how exactly wanted Vahan Martirosyan had managed to cross the border.
