YEREVAN.  - It’s yet unknown whether Armenian servicemen Gor Gevorgyan and Garnik Lalayan, who were wounded in Armenia’s Tavush province as a result of Azerbaijani shots, will continue their military service. Currently they are undergoing treatment in the Central Clinical Military Hospital of Armenia’s Defense Ministry, director of the Hospital Aram Asaturyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“The servicemen have firearm wounds, and still have to undergo long treatment,” Asaturyan said.  

Gor Gevorgyan received wounds in the area of his belly and chest, as well as various shrapnel wounds in lower limbs. Garnik Lalayan’s lung was injured.

The Azerbaijani side fired at border Aygepar and Chinari villages of Armenia’s Tavush province for several hours on September 1.  According to the spokesman for Armenia’s Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan, two conscript soldiers – Vladimir Gevorgyan. 19, and Gor Gevorgyan, 22 - were wounded. Two days later contract soldier Garnik Lalayan was alos wounded.
