A multinational inspection team from France conducted inspections in Armenia, from Monday to Thursday.

First, the inspection team visited the units of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armenian Armed Forces.

The inspectors also wished to pay a visit to Berdavan border village in Armenia’s Tavush Province, and where two women were killed on September 24, from shelling by the Azerbaijani army. They visited the families of the victims, spoke with them, and photographed the shrapnel of the mines from the Turkish-made reactive rocket propelled howitzers (TR-107).

On Thursday, the multinational inspection team visited the Ministry of Defense’s Baghramyan military training ground, where the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) “Indestructible Brotherhood 2015” military exercises are underway.

On the same day, First Deputy Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan met with French Ambassador Jean-François Charpentier.

At the talk, Tonoyan presented the situation along the northeastern sector of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces.
