President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan conveyed a condolence telegram to the family of Ter-Merguerians over the death of the famous violinist, national artist of Armenia and holder of the Honorary medal Jean Ter-Merguerian, Armenian president press-service reports.

“Jean Ter-Merguerian was one of the brightest representatives of the Armenian music culture. His art and pedagogical activity significantly contributed to the development and enrichment of the classical art of Armenia.

I offer my deep condolences to the musician’s family, relatives, colleagues and many thousand of fans,” the telegram reads.
