YEREVAN. - The damage inflicted on the border villages in Armenia’s Tavush province as a result of firing from the Azerbaijani side comprised 66 million AMD (approx. $140,000), the concluding report of the Special Commission says.

It’s still unknown whether the state will pay compensation to the villagers for the damage inflicted. At the same time, the governor of Armenia’s Tavush province Hovik Abovyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am that the entire damage will be compensated.

The Azerbaijani side has been periodically firing at the villages of Tavush province on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan since September 1. The villagers have suffered serious material damage. Several civilians have also been wounded.
