YEREVAN. - Changes will be made in Armenia’s draft constitution which is to be introduced in the Parliament. Gagik Ghazinyan, member of the Specialized Commission on Constitutional Reforms told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“At the commission meeting today, we provided an additional consultation to the parliamentary representative of [President of Armenian] Serzh Sargsyan. Currently I can’t say anything with regard to the substance, but changes will be made in the draft,” Ghazinyan said.

According to him, this version of the draft will be sent to the republic’s president in the coming two days, and will be put on voting on October 5 only after receiving the president’s approval.

Under the new draft Constitution of Armenia, shift must be made to the parliamentary form of governance and hundred percent proportional system. The draft will be put on voting in the parliament on October 5, the referendum being held within the first 10 days of December.
