YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan today conveyed a telegram of condolence to the U.S. President Barack Obama on the tragedy which took place in Oregon’s Umpqua Community College, the Armenian President press-service reports.

“I’m shocked by the news of the tragedy in Oregon’s Umpqua Community College, which claimed the lives of a dozen of innocent young men, leaving an incurable wound in the souls of their relatives and friends. I extend my condolences to You and the friendly people of the United States, wishing strength of spirit to the victims’ relatives, and a speedy recovery to the injured,” the telegram reads.

Harper Mercer, 26, entered a college in Oregon and opened fire, killing 9 and injuring 7 people. He was killed by the police.
