YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday visited the embassy of China in Armenia, and on the occasion of the Chinese National Day.

On behalf of the Armenian people and on his own behalf, the President congratulated Ambassador Tian Erlong and the embassy staff, and in their person, the friendly people of China, on the 66th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Sargsyan also sent a congratulatory message to President Xi Jinping of China.

“Your Excellency:

“I would like to cordially congratulate and send you and the friendly people of China my best wishes on the 66th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

“I strongly believe that under your able leadership, China will continue to achieve further success in multifarious spheres, maintaining its path of steady progress and advancement.

“I would like to express my satisfaction with the fact that the traditional friendly relationship between Armenia and China has been developing dynamically, including the intensification of high-level dialogue and multifaceted cooperation.

“I am confident that the fulfillment of the agreements and programs outlined during my state visit to China in March this year, as well as the subsequent senior-level reciprocal visits will give a fresh momentum and meaning to our relations.

“Together with you, Distinguished Mr. President, I am ready to make vigorous efforts to maintain and stimulate the steady growth achieved in all the spheres of cooperation between Armenia and China in recent years,” President Sargsyan’s message specifically reads.
