STEPANAKERT. – Azerbaijan violated ceasefire with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic around 4,000 times in September.

Over 60,000 shots were made on Karabakh positions from different types of weapons, including mine throwers of 60 mm and 82 mm caliber, grenade launchers and howitzers, the Karabakh Defense Army said in a statement.

In addition, the Karabakh army noted that videos spread by state-run and unofficial media outlets show that the Azerbaijani side is an initiator of the ceasefire violations.

“Such cynical behavior once again shows that Baku, that is permanently positioning itself  as a victim, is responsible for unprecedented tension at the line of contact, and the presented video is yet another reason for the structures dealing with the peaceful settlement of the conflict to reveal the true culprit,” the statement reads.

The statement noted that aggressive actions of the adversary did not remain unanswered, and if this behavior continues, the Armenian side’s response will be tougher and the consequences will be more painful.
