YEREVAN. – Seven of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army servicemen, who were wounded in the recent shelling by the Azerbaijani armed forces, are in stable condition.

Director of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Central Clinical Military Hospital in capital city Yerevan, Aram Asaturyan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Only one is in the intensive care unit at the moment, but his condition is stable, too,” added Asaturyan. “Today [i.e. Monday], he will be transferred to a hospital room.”

The physician also noted that the other nine wounded soldiers continue to receive treatment at the military hospitals in Martakert town and in Stepanakert, the NKR capital city.

The wounded servicemen in serious but stable condition were transferred to Yerevan.

On September 25, the Azerbaijani armed forces shelled one of the northeastern protection areas of the NKR Defense Army unit. The fire was opened from Turkish-made reactive rocket propelled howitzers (TR-107). Consequently, four NKR Defense Army soldiers died from shrapnel wounds, whereas sixteen others suffered wounds.

A criminal case is launched into this incident.
