President Serzh Sargsyan on Monday received Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Reisi, who is ending his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

First, Sargsyan thanked the diplomat for his efforts—during his past three years in office as Iran’s ambassador to Armenia—in the development and strengthening of Armenian-Iranian relations, and wished him success in his future endeavors. The President also stressed that relations with Iran are vitally important for Armenia.

The interlocutors underscored and attached importance to Armenia-Iran cooperation.

Ambassador Reisi, for his part, thanked for the assistance and collaboration he was provided during his diplomatic mission in Armenia. He added that, no matter where he will continue his diplomatic work, he will be helpful as much as possible to Armenia and the Armenian people.
