YEREVAN. – Newly appointed Ambassador of Vietnam to Armenia (residence in Moscow) Nguyen Thanh Son handed over his credentials to the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

The sides discussed the prospects of development of Armenian-Vietnamese relations and noted the importance of active political dialogue, frequent visits, development of inter-parliamentary and inter-governmental cooperation.

The Ambassador noted that the opening of the diplomatic mission in Hanoi is further evidence of Armenia's willingness to develop friendly relations. He assured that his country is interested in promoting development of bilateral relations and will make every effort to strengthen ties between Vietnam and Armenia.

Nguyen Thanh Son also noted that he has good memories of the years of study in Yerevan.
