YEREVAN. – Madagascar is interested in collaboration with Armenia also in education.

Foreign Minister of Madagascar Beatrice Atallah, who is in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan to attend the 31st meeting of the Ministerial Conference of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), noted the aforesaid at her talk Thursday with Edward Nalbandian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

Nalbandian, for his part, stated that the OIF Ministerial Conference is a good opportunity to discuss the challenges facing this organization and its member countries, and to reflect on the development of bilateral relations, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

FM Atallah, in turn, underscored the aforementioned session to be convened in Yerevan, and stressed that it is in this event that Madagascar will assume Chairmanship of the OIF Ministerial Conference.

In the ensuing talk, the interlocutors exchanged views on the avenues for expanding Armenia-Madagascar cooperation, and their closer collaboration within international organizations.

Separately, Beatrice Atallah thanked for the fact that numerous Malagasy professionals have received education in Armenia.

The FMs also agreed to relaunch cooperation between the capital cities of the two countries.
