YEREVAN. – On the occasion of the 2,797th anniversary of Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, several Armenians of the world of sports and arts have been awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Yerevan.

At Thursday’s meeting of the Yerevan Municipality Council, its sixty members unanimously voted in favor of the respective decisions.

Accordingly, Arthur Abraham (Germany), who is the reining World Boxing Organization (WBO) Super Middleweight Champion, also has been awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Yerevan.
