YEREVAN. – Mother of Vahan Martirosyan, an Armenian activist who sought political asylum in Azerbaijan, says she feels ashamed for her son.

Julieta Virabyan said she would never forgive Vahan for his move. There has been no information about her son, daughter-in-law and their child for a about a month, the woman told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.

“I feel ashamed for his move. He is not 15 years old not to realize the consequences of his actions,” she noted.

Vahan Martirosyan, head of the “Intra-national Liberation Movement” NGO of Armenia, recently crossed into the Azerbaijan border, sought political asylum, and gave a press conference in capital city Baku.
