YEREVAN. – According to my projections, there will be a 2.2-percent economic growth in Armenia next year.

Ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (NA) Faction member Gagik Minasyan, who is also Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, expressed such a view at a press conference on Friday.

“When making [respective] projections (…), first of all, we should focus on the economies of the EEU [i.e. Eurasian Economic Union] countries [i.e. Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and most recently, Kyrgyzstan], especially the developments taking place in Russia,” said Minasyan. “According to international organizations, the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation] economic development will be 0.2 percent. The economic growth projections are modest likewise among the EU [i.e. European Union] partners.”
