YEREVAN. – The Turkish side, by violating Armenia’s airspace with helicopters, is attempting to encourage its little brother, Azerbaijan.

Member of the Ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly Faction, Artak Davtyan, said the aforementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.

In his words, the Islamic State terrorist organization and Azerbaijan carry out activities in a similar way.

“We know who encourages them,” added Davtyan. “We also saw Azerbaijan’s adventurism, which was followed by our counterblows. Subsequently, it was apparent that the political leadership of Azerbaijan would appear in some state of panic. And [therefore] the Turkish side, by violating Armenia’s airspace with helicopters, is attempting to encourage its little brother.”

On October 6 and 7, two transport helicopters of the Turkish armed forces had violated Armenia’s airspace for two to four minutes, and in the direction of Armavir city in the Armavir Province of Armenia.
