Armenian Ambassador to Armenia Andranik Manukyan assures that the residence where he lives was leased by him in 2013, when no one could suppose that a power change would take place in the country.

In an interview with Armenian News – NEWS.am, Andranik Manukyan refuted the information circulated in media outlets, according to which he leased the manor of Marina Zhuravlyova, the wife of Victor Sivets, the ex-head of Ukraine’s State Forest Resource Agency, these days.

According to the Ukrainian media outlets, the immunity of the residence gives an opportunity to Yanukovich’s supporters to avoid possible searches when visiting Kiev after the well-known events.

“I leased the residence long ago, and it’s surprising that the issue is raised now,” the Ambassador said.

To the question on why he wouldn’t change his residence after such publications, the Ambassador said that nobody, including journalists, had turned to him with questions.
