Amir Hossein Zamanian, Deputy Minister of International Oil Investment of Iran, announced that his country intends to increase its oil output to 1 million barrels per day in five to six months, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

The deputy minister added, however, that this decision will not affect the OPEC quota of 3 million barrels per day.

Earlier, the International Energy Agency had reported that Iran’s return to the European oil market will lead to a stiffer competition in this industry.
