YEREVAN. - I’m surprised at the statements of opposition MPs, according to which by legalizing voting by ID cards, the authorities will carry out rigged referendum through the mechanism of repeated elections. Armenia’s ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Hamlet Harutyunyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am today.
“Repeated voting is also possible without ID cards. If they want, they will do it anyway. Today the President of Armenia and our party show the political will against speculations, so that free and fair voting takes place,” the MP said.
Harutyunyan expressed conviction that there will be no violations this time, since the control mechanisms are rather wide.
