STEPANAKERT. - In the framework of his visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), President of Armenia and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Serzh Sargsyan, along with NKR President Bako Sahakyan, attended the consultation of the top military command of the Armed Forces of two Armenian republics. A number of issues on bilateral cooperation were discussed during the consultation.    

Sargsyan also attended the housewarming ceremony of the 176-apartment building constructed in capital Stepanakert, as well as the opening of the Armed Forces Headquarters gym and the canteen for the military staff in one of the military units.

As part of his working visit to Karabakh, the President also bestowed awards upon a number of servicemen for their diligent service.  

The same day, Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of the new building of Mesrop Mashtots Gandzasar Matenadaran, Stepanakert’s Scientific-Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts.

On occasion of the opening, Serzh Sargsyan donated 12-13th-century Gyulistan Bible to the Institute.
