Shots were fired at the service vehicle of the co-chair of Turkey’s pro-Kurdish “Peoples’ Democratic Party” (HDP), Selahattin Demirtaş.

An unidentified person fired shots in the direction of the side of the car’s rear window which Demirtaş usually sits, the Kurdish ANF news agency reported.

But since the windows of the vehicle were bulletproof, the criminal failed to injure the HDP leader.

After this incident, Selahattin Demirtaş wrote “Death is God’s command,” on a social networking website.

HDP is the sole parliamentary party in Turkey’s history to recognize the Armeian Genocide and put the fight for its recognition on the party’s platform.

And Istanbul Armenian activist Garo Paylan is a Turkish parliament member from HDP.
