YEREVAN. – The newly-formed Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies (UEICT) will help Armenia’s economy.

President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia, Arsen Ghazaryan, stated the above-said at a press conference on Monday. 

Ghazaryan noted that the objective of this new union—which was officially registered in September—is collaboration between the information technology and the real sectors, and first of all in installing modern automated control systems in the country’s enterprises.

UEICT Executive Director  Lilit Gevorgyan, for her part, noted that this union will cooperate with the markets, and help improve the respective laws in Armenia.

Director of the Unicomp CJSC, Armen Baldryan, will head this new union jointly with its executive director.
