Under the new Constitution, the state has to implement a repatriation program, Armenian Parliament Chief of Staff Hrayr Tovmasyan, representing the “Yes” front, said today in Artashat city of Armenia’s Ararat province, in the framework of “Irapatum” (Reality) TV project.

“Unfortunately, we have a migration. And the Constitution will for the first time stipulate that the state shall implement a repatriation program. That is, regardless of who will be in the government, they will have to implement those programs as in the mid-60s,” he said.

According to Tovmasyan, the constitutional amendments also positively impact the court system. In his words, pursuant to the constitutional amendments, the government will have to present three types of reports to the people.

“The government will have to present reports on the budget, programs implemented by it, as well as the policy run in the social, economic and cultural areas,” he said.

The referendum on Constitutional amendments will take place in Armenia on December 6.
