YEREVAN. – The tragic situation in Armenia’s aviation sector is a long known reality, Zhoghovurd daily reported.
“For the past two years, hope is inspired to Armenia’s society that we will have a national carrier very soon.
“After Armavia going bankrupt, Air Armenia airline made a claim to become the national carrier [of Armenia]. (…) In August of this year, the company announced that the financial problems will be solved soon, and the flights would resume soon.
“[But] it became apparent to Zhoghovurd that the (…) court declared Air Armenia CJSC bankrupt, on November 2 this year. (…) And the airline’s assets are seized.
“If the airline does not wish to be declared bankrupt, it must submit a recovery plan. But under the circumstances, there seems to be no grounds for optimism,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
