YEREVAN. – Armenia remains a relatively safe country in terms of terrorist threats.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shavarsh Kocharyan, told the above-said to reporters, after Thursday’s Cabinet session.
“The risk of terrorism threatens the entire world, but we need to differentiate between state terrorism and the terrorism being carried out through an organized network,” Kocharyan added. “If we are speaking about international [terrorism] networks, any country should always be cautious. Now, Armenia is a relatively safe country from this standpoint.”
The deputy FM noted the aforesaid commenting on the statement by the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, and with respect to Wednesday’s rendering of an armed gang ineffective in capital city Yerevan. As per the NSS, this gang was plotting terrorist attacks in Armenia.
