YEREVAN. – A total of 4 million liters of wine was produced in Armenia in the first nine months of the current year, and the country’s wine businesses purchased 216,800 tons of grapes from farmers this year.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Robert Makaryan, told the above-said to reporters.

In his words, 4 million liters are quite a lot for Armenia, and this fruitful year and the volume of production may also contribute to the increase in exports and the search for new markets.

Makaryan added that 1.6 million liters of wine were exported in the past several months to Russia and some other European countries.
