YEREVAN. -  Chief of Armenia’s Police Vladimir Gasparyan ordered his subordinates to enter a dialogue with the representatives of the “New Armenia” initiative, which is going to hold around-the-clock rallies starting from tomorrow.

“Meet and speak with the organizers; this will be effective. Be rather sincere. The law regulates both the rights of the organizers and those of the police. Explain, say, and if they don’t understand, advise them to read the law and, please, act in the framework of the law,” Gasparyan said.

In case of disturbances, the Chief of Police ordered to act in line with the law.

Gasparyan again remembered his favorite expression, namely that “this is a small country” where disturbances can’t be put up with.

“Of course, our small country likes to watch cartoons. Yes, this is a small country, and in this small country disturbances can’t be put up with. They’d better shoot cartoons than play mock battles,” Gasparyan said.
