The Trans-Pacific Partnership and Transatlantic cooperation between Europe and the US contain not solely challenges, but also opportunities for the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC)—which is the executive body of the EEU—Board member and Minister in charge of the Development of Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC, Tatiana Valovaya, stated the aforesaid speaking at the Eurasian Economic Congress.
“The EEU also needs to balance partnerships; the western, with the EU, and the eastern, with China and other countries of the Asian-Pacific region,” Valovaya said, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
In her words, there is equal cooperation when major players are involved in several such partnerships.
The Eurasian Economic Union member states are Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
