The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, announced that he has filed a suit against Georgia’s former President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is now Governor of Odessa Oblast (province), Ukraine, for publicly accusing him of corruption.

Avakov informed the aforementioned on 1+1 television of Ukraine.

“I’ve sued Mr. Saakashvili because when you say that the man is a thief, you’ll answer for it,” he said.

Avakov on Wednesday released the video of his unpleasant incident with Saakashvili, at the session of the Ukrainian National Council of Reforms. 

At the meeting, Arsen Avakov called Mikheil Saakashvili a “traveling artist,” and demanded that he “disappear” from his country.

Saakashvili, in turn, accused Avakov of having ties with corruption schemes.

The Ukrainian interior minister also told 1+1 that he had acted emotionally at the session.
