The Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council; parliament) of Ukraine approved the draft law allowing subdivisions of foreign armed forces to enter the country, to take part in military exercises, 112 Ukraine news agency reported.

The bill was introduced by the President Petro Poroshenko.

The explanatory note to the proposed law states that the entry of foreign military forces into Ukraine shall be carried out upon the decision of the president of the country, and this decision must be approved by the Rada.
