A group of protestors destroyed a Muslim prayer hall in Ajaccio, the capital city of the French island of Corsica, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
The protesters also tried to burn several copies of the Koran.
The French authorities condemned this incident.
Prime Minister Manuel Valls tweeted that the attack was “an unacceptable desecration.”
