YEREVAN. – An around-50-year-old man threw himself off the Great Bridge of Hrazdan—more commonly known as Kievian Bridge—in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, on Saturday at around noon, and right in front of his wife.
The Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter at the scene informed that the woman, who was crying, said her husband had threatened to throw himself off the bridge.
“I was [trying to] convince [him not to do that], [but] he didn’t listen,” the woman said. “Then the police arrived, but they couldn’t hold him back.”
The law enforcement is working at the scene.
The reasons that drove the man to suicide are still unknown.
