English football referee Martin Atkinson has earned more than Prime Minister David Cameron last season, Lenta.ru, a Moscow-based online newspaper, reported citing The Sun.
Atkinson was paid £150,650 (approx. $215 thousand) for 2014-15.
Cameron’s salary for the same period was £142,500 (approx. $203 thousand).
Refs in the English Premier League are on a basic £90,000 (approx. $128,200) per season with match fees on top.
They receive £450 (approx. $640) per domestic game and £4,000 (approx. $5,700) for a fixture on the continent.
Martin Atkinson will represent England at the Euros in France this summer.
