Norayr Shehyan, who resides in Russia, had borrowed tens of millions of rubles from his friends and acquaintances.

In his words, the money was needed for business.

In reality, however, Shehyan deceived his friends for fifteen years promising to return everything, according to NTV television of Russia.

One of Shehyan’s “victims” was the Vice Chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia, Professor German Ananyants, who had given him 6 million 250 thousand rubles (approx. US$79,137) plus a new car.

All this was planned for dairy exports to Belarus.

Ananyants was promised that not solely the borrowed money, but also its interest would be returned to him.

Norayr Shehyan was found in  a train heading from Moscow to Minsk, and detained.
