YEREVAN. – Nothing is threatened in our negotiations with the RPA—i.e. the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA)—, and we will have ideas about the format of our participation and the assumption of respective responsibilities in one week, the latest.

Secretary of the National Assembly (NA) Faction of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party, Aghvan Vardanyan, on Wednesday told the aforesaid to reporters at the NA.

“Our starting point [to form a coalition government with the RPA] is to conduct qualitative changes in the country,” he added.

Vardanyan noted that the key issue for them is the things to do, not the governmental posts.

“If there will be agreement there, the rest are technical issues,” the ARF MP stressed. “We know the problems facing the country. If there will be a general point around which the political forces are united, after that there will also be participation in governance.”
