YEREVAN. – The US Embassy continues working with all political parties in Armenia, ahead of the parliamentary election to be conducted in spring 2017.

Ambassador Richard Mills on Wednesday stated the above-said at his talk with vice chairman of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Party, Levon Zurabyan, who also heads the ANC National Assembly Faction.

ANC informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the interlocutors discussed the recent constitutional referendum in Armenia and the respective developments, the electoral system and the Electoral Code of the country, and the avenues for the strengthening of democracy in Armenia.

Ambassador Mills added that they are working with the country’s political parties also with respect to democratic development, fight against corruption, and progress of transparency in Armenia.
