STEPANAKERT. – In accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

The monitoring was held on Thursday, and in the southeasterly direction of Kuropatkino settlement of the NKR Martuni Region.

The NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that from the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was conducted by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office (CiO), Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, and his field assistants Yevgeny Sharov (Ukraine) and Khristo Khristov (Bulgaria) as well as by representative of the OSCE High-Level Planning Group (HLPG), Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Nepokritikh (Russia).

From the opposite side of the Line of Contact, the monitoring was held by Field Assistant Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic) of the Personal Representative of the OSCE CiO, Personal Assistant Simon Tiller (Great Britain) to the Personal Representative of the OSCE CiO, and Office staff member Peter Svedberg (Sweden) as well as by representative of the OSCE HLPG, Colonel Tuncay Sevim (Turkey).

The monitoring passed in accordance with the agreed schedule.

No ceasefire violation was recorded.

From the Karabakh side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives of the NKR Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
