YEREVAN. - The Armenian side is discussing all the possible routes of Iran-Armenia railway.

First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Artur Araqelyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent.

During his visit to Iran, Armenia’s Transport Minister Gagik Beglaryan also touched on the project of Iran-Armenia railway station. A new project of railway station has been proposed to Iran:  it will pass from Meghri and Vayots Dzor province and reach Yeraskh instead of Sevan (as was in the original project).

“Since the project hasn’t reached the stage of implementation, all possible routes are being discussed,” the Deputy Minister.  

Two Chinese companies are implementing the feasibility study of the project on a grant basis.
