The administration of Turkey's southeastern Şırnak province has informed about the deaths of one policeman and 13 rebels of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) over the last two days.  

Earlier, the representatives of pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party press-service told RIA Novosti that 9 civilians of Cizre city of Şırnak province died and another 25 suffered injuries as a result of a grenade launcher firing at one of the buildings and the ensuing fire.

“On February 4, the members of separatist terror organization shot down our security officers from long barreled guns and grenade launchers. One policeman and 9 terrorists died in the shooting. Leaving one of the buildings seized by them, the terrorists burnt it down. The fire engines couldn’t approach the hot spot due to their firing. On February 5, terrorists attacked the security agency building in Şırnak with grenade launchers. The reprisal fire killed 4 terrorists,” the statement placed on the website of Şırnak province governor reads, RIA Novosti reports.
