YEREVAN. – The objective of the rating process for the schools in Armenia is to help increase the respective awareness of the beneficiaries and the public.

The Minister of Education and Science, Armen Ashotyan, stated the abovementioned at a press conference on Saturday, as he summed up the 2015 results of the rating of the public education institutions of the country.

Ashotyan noted that these schools were divided into different categories according to their main criteria, and the schools in the same category were compared with one another.

In the minister’s words, this information is important for the school principals because, in this way, they will be able to find out the challenges, or the competitive edge, of their respective schools.

“It is also important for the Ministry, in order to encourage the best and assist the others,” Armen Ashotyan added. “[But] we have not sought to create the perfect methodology because there is none.”

The 2015 results of the national rating system of Armenia’s schools are presented here.
