The condition of Harutyun Badalyan, who was subjected to an armed assault yesterday, is stable but critical. The injured man is in the intensive care unit, Director of Meghri Regional Medical Center, Lusine Vardanyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent.
According to her, Badalyan was stabbed 24 times and his nose was also fractured. Nevertheless, the man is alert.
Yesterday at 10:15 pm, the Police Department received an alert from Meghri Regional Medical Center on the reception of Harutyun Badalyan (born in 1963), who had stab wounds.
The detectives found out that the man was wounded by robbers, who had broken to an apparel shop next to his house. Tying up the man, the robbers stabbed him, robbed the clothes and other goods and absconded.
Criminal case under Article 175 (3)(3) has been instituted.
The police have detained two residents of the town of Kapan.
